Around the Bay 30k: Week 7, Day 3

This one hurt.

The Run: 8km tempo, 4:25-4:40/km. Tempo runs are the only ones that really scare me. They’re hard work. This was definitely the hardest workout of the training so far, and my hardest run since the Half-Marathon I did at in November.

I don’t know why it was so tough. This is slower than my 5k pace and only an extra 3km. I probably could have ate better this morning, and I certainly could have done without the shitty headwind I had to run into on the return length. 

I gotta work on staying cool at tempo paces, I feel that I start to panic a bit and loose my breathing rythym and let my form slip. I just have to remember to run relaxed. Easy, light, smooth and fast, right Caballo?
